Dear Mom, As your little one grows and reaches new growth milestones, the journey might be a daunting one, especially when you consider the big T’s and C’s – Teething and Crying.
Understanding Why Your Baby Cries
Crying is how babies let you know when something isn’t right, e.g. when they are hungry, uncomfortable or tired. And as your baby grows, you may be able to identify his or her specific needs by the way he or she cries. A baby with gripes doesn’t have to make you feel uneasy as a mommy which is why WOODWARD’S is here for both of you. WOODWARD’S neutralises acid and has a calming effect to comfort infants with gripes.
Teething: An Exciting Developmental Milestone
Some babies may be fussier than usual when they are teething. This may be because of pain and swelling in the gums before a tooth comes through. Some babies might bite on their fingers or toys during teething and others may drool, causing a rash on their chin, face or chest. Mild symptoms that get better are usually nothing to worry about. Call your Doctor if your baby’s symptoms are severe or don’t get better. ASHTONS & PARSONS has been trusted by South African Mom’s for over 40 years to assist with relief from teething upsets.
For us, when push comes to shove I make a paste with the powder, adding a drop of Panado. This gives my baby great relief.
You can also give your teething baby a firm rubber teething toy to help relieve the pain. Gently rubbing teething gel on your baby’s gums is another way to assist the discomfort of teething. Finally, you may massage your baby’s gums with your fingertips to help relieve the pain and discomfort of teething, just make sure you’ve washed your hands thoroughly first.
Don’t let your baby’s teething anf crying get you down. Use the products and techniques mentioned in this blog to help give your baby some relief.
